GPS / ELECTRONIC MONITORING PROGRAM
Southeastern Monitoring, Inc. (SEM) is committed to
providing quality monitoring services to county agencies
in an effort to lower out of home placement costs while
maintaining community safety.  Monitoring equipment is
designed to hold offenders accountable for their actions,
while maintaining their physical placement in a non-secure
setting.  SEM installs GPS equipment and orients clients to
the program rules and expectations.  SEM supervises
offenders through weekly physical contacts in addition to
the 24-hour, 7 days a week GPS surveillance.  
Program Components

1.  Install and orient client to equipment and
procedures.
2.  Monitor offender's movement.
3.  Alert Case Manager / Probation Officer of
non-compliant offender.
4.  Contact local Law Enforcement as needed.
5.  Prepare written reports for court.
6.  Respond to equipment failures / tampers.
7.  Collect fees.
8.  Obtain specimens for drug screens / PBTs
as requested.  
  
Offender Responsibilities

  • Agree to program rules
  • Sign agreement
FEE COLLECTION

Limit taxpayer obligation to pay for incarceration costs by
directing the offender to pay for their own fees.  
SEM collects fees from clients at no additional cost.

DBE Agency, has been in business since 1998 providing
monitoring, youth and adult  mentoring, and supervised
visitation for private and government agencies.
